It is always hard to find some private time on a crewed starship... Though in retrospect the elevator was perhaps not the best choice.
(Probably should have hit the emergency stop first)

As the door cracked open Powell had the quickest realisation; probably quicker than anyone else as he assumed to the potion.
Admos and Vel had too, on the sound of the elevator returned to a neutral posture, ready and expectant that it could be anyone waiting.

Only Kir and Alwin had been left a little out the loop, only following the human as both realised who it was.
“Grand Admiral! Commodore, ma’am!”
The trio called in a respectful and somewhat surprised tone. Such high level visits sometimes never filtered the way down.

“Soldiers, good evening!”
Admos has been well trained in unintended interruptions, only slightly readjusting his legs to account for a different interruption…
“We’ll wait for the next one Admiral” Powell responded.
“Oh please” Admos responded “We’re all going the same direction; no need to wait around”

It was a very quiet elevator ride from that point…
Vel was not too pleased and Admos would ensure it later...
