And lastly, a full res version of the painting attached to the GUMMI brochures. At first this was meant to be a lil doodle of GUMMI's head inventor, Gillian, but it ended up turning into a whole painting as many fun ideas crossed my mind expanding on Gillian's personality and lore. It's hard not to love a villain that makes sure to tick as many stereotypical villain boxes as they can.
I would also like to take this moment to mention https://bsky.app/profile/fatcatwitch.bsky.social, who is the feline lieutenant to the right of the painting. As they are indirectly responsible for Gillian as a character, and in turn, GUMMI. The project I had so much fun with. A few months back they shared a great deal of interest and appreciation for a very old piece I drew once of a gator supervillain, they even asked for permission to involve the character in a commission! That love and appreciation in turn made me want to expand on that character, who later on would become Gillian. It's quite incredible the ripple effects those around you can make upon your life. And it's a reminder that some ideas are like planted seeds that only our friends can water.

I don't like his invention personally, but he looks like the kind of villain that you recognize might be suave but you'd still love to beat up because you know exactly how many hits he's going to take before he gets slamdunked and I think that's a respectable energy on its own.
