I've left a fatal wound in the ICE-E which, though it looked rather ordinary, had a lot of history behind it.
As far as I know, dad bought that stuffed toy at a random store on his way to the hospital.
He arrived at the maternity ward soaking wet because it had begun to rain all of a sudden and he had forgotten his umbrella at home, but instead of being upset about all that, he was happy to learn that his daughter had been born.
Knowing that hurt like hell.

This comic has been drawn to resemble memories, with scattered images forming some kind of coherence between what's real and what isn't. On this page, Noelle reminisces about how she felt guilty for ruining her sister's first gift. You know, in my works, there's a recurring theme of sadness and characters being filled with remorse after they've done something wrong. Paper Hats is all about Sniff regretting his past actions and wanting to do better, and in Broken and Winded, well, you do have a character realizing they've done something wrong and how that hurts.
