Inspired by the song Fireflies, by Owl City.
This is my most prized artwork up to date, which is why i'm so GOD FUCKING PISSED OFF over the fact that FA wouldn't let me upload the origina. I had to down size and hack away at the picture's quality to the point that i wanted to cry..... so i'm terribly sorry guys... this picture looked a billion times better originally.
To make a long story short though, this picture isn't the one i prize. I made a painting of this picture, approximately 3 times in size (24"x30"), and it is that painting i hold so dear to me. all together, the sketch and the painting, it took me 3 months to complete. While this sketch you see only took about a week to work with, the painting took the remaining 1o weeks to finish. Through a grid process and inking and painting the poster, i eventually turned tis sketch into an amazing work of art, which i plan to get into further detail when i post photos of the actual painting.
The inspiration one gets from music is more than one can explain verbally... it takes the creativity of one to express that inspiration.
