Rami being injured due to an accident while with Kudaai was my initial thought too, but the while I was rereading the Research Notes II thinking about drawing some art of the 'estor brothers, I noticed that the last line seems to imply that Marchosias kidnapped Rami and forced them to make the gauntlet legendary weapon. It'd tie in well with how unhappy and nervous Rami is about restoring that one, too.
The scratches and nicks on their arms were from just minor accidents while doing apprenticeship stuff (as someone who's worked construction, you're gonna get marked up a bit makin' things, so I assume blacksmithing is the same), but the branching scars on their arm and face are electrical burns from Marchosias as previous punishments before the Big Uh Oh that's about to happen.
Yeah, much I play woolhaven when I resurrected the cleric I knew something was off what he said because I thought all the sheep folk where innocent, but had to stop playing because of all the bugs XD but yeah, looking forward to seeing your lamb learning the full truth and how she see the ghost lambs at the end
