(I just want to clarify, since it's easy to mix things up. February 5th is the official confirmed date of Bowser's actual birthday. Not Bowser Day, which is August 4th. So... There are 2 days where we can celebrate Bowser. The first being his official birthday. I'll also share past submissions of the Mario AU, in case you need recollection of Ben's and Catbit's backgrounds. Anyway, onto the story.)

February 5th was a special day in Bowser's Kingdom... because it was the Koopa king's birthday! And among the guests celebrating were a human and what looked like a hooded cat. The human was Ben Fuller, a human from another world much like his idols... and also Bowser's boyfriend. And the hooded cat was Catbit, a Nabbit that preferred his feline appearance given from Super Bells.

One of the most iconic parts of the special day where a race was able to be held within one of the castle's race tracks, with karts being prepared for everyone who wanted to join in. And luckily for Ben and Catbit, they got a version of the former's Blue Fire that had a sidecar! Allowing the latter to ride in it as a passenger.

And soon, the race was on! And despite how dangerous the track looked, the racers were actually guaranteed to be safe thanks to Lakitus being able to save them if they drive overboard.

The last lap had soon arrived, and Ben & Catbit were behind Bowser. The cat Nabbit holding a Green Shell to aim and fire while his best friend (Wearing a Bowser themed yukata thanks to some Japanese food he ate earlier) in 2nd place, driving behind Bowser (Who was in his biker outfit, which his boyfriend couldn't stop eyeing). Though from behind, the dreaded blue Spiny Shell approached and flew above the Koopa king... Which was soon deflected away thanks to him using a Super Horn he held onto, just in case for situations like this.

And it was perfect timing too, since Bowser soon crossed the finish line while riding his bike! Finishing the race in first place, whilst Ben and Catbit finished in second. But the race was pretty fun, especially when doing it on someone's birthday.
