Having thoroughly enjoyed playing through a game called Labyrinth of Refrain recently and gotten a fun piece of fan art I swiftly moved on to the sequel, Labyrinth of Galleria, where the "main character" is a cute slime-like ghost called Fantie who can inhabit a magic lantern the party carry into dungeons. I wasn't sure what character/species to pic for the piece, until I remembered that I've been meaning to get something with a hyrax character in for a while now.
Hyraxes are enigmatic little creatures, being little fuzzy potatoes whose closest living relatives are elephants (their toenails and pointy little tusks are a clue). They seem to have caught certain corners of the internet by storm in recent years, as understated wee things that are unexpectedly nimble climbers (thanks to the texture of their cute feets) with a tendency to yell "awawa!" when they want to scare off a possible threat. They even get mentioned in the Bible, albeit rendered as "rock badgers" in some translations.
