It's been a terribly cold winter around here, including the longest stretch without ever peeking above freezing in a decade-plus. There's a couple good ways to handle this, and then there's just ``why not a woolly coati''? Not sure this is long-term sustainable but, you know, extending my already weird teeth is not a bad move.

A couple pencil sketches ahead of this suggested that touching the tusks would look great and be really easy to do, and it was, right up until I got to the inking this on the iPad. So that's out. But, since it does have me looking at my paws, that qualifies this as a post-tf picture, so I hope that's enjoyable. The particulars of how the fur shags at the end of a limb, just before the paw, is ripped off^W^W informed and inspired by the way  The Art Fella does Bucky Beaver and Charlie Velociraptor.

The background was done with a couple color patches smeared out and I like that look, for this purpose. My fur's usual layering was also gone over with a simulated marker to add the irregular highlights and shading. It didn't work the way I imagined, but I'm not sad about how it did work either.
