When photography meets painting.
For this shot, I didn't want a standard documentary look. I went for a heavy artistic edit in Lightroom to create a moody, almost painterly atmosphere.
My goal was to transform the water texture. By crushing the blacks and boosting the clarity, the water now looks like heavy, dark oil paint or liquid ink. It creates a perfect contrast to the sharp, golden fur of the tiger, which seems to burn brightly against the cold, dark abyss.
Itβs a photograph, but with the soul of a dark oil painting.
