Enough pancakes...
Lovely subscription reward from osito.bsky.social which delivered on this silly idea of plush so well. Story by me edited by said plush.
Recently in France it was la Chandeleur (Candlemas) which most people celebrate by cooking crêpes. So, despite being in Australia now, Loupy suggested to celebrate it.
Snow said crêpes were too hard but he could make pancakes, which the three cubs voted to be "close enough" for the celebration (even if the wolf was a bit disappointed, as he loved cheese and ham crêpes and it was going to be a bit of a different taste with pancakes).
In a short sighed show of trust, the pisse-lit (bedwetter in French) pizzly and the two pups had been left to play alone while their parents were relaxing in the yard. Without supervision, the three cubs started to prepare pancakes. The bear was quite eager to make some, having learned recently how to. Fiona used her younger sibling as support to reach all the ingredients in the kitchen, quickly getting everything that was needed, then organising the three of them to mass produced pancake batter.
Soon Snow was cooking pancake after pancake ... and Loupy started to realise the chocolate pup and ice-cream plush had no plan to stop, even knowing Bluey and Bingo and their parents were expected for brunch. The bear flipped each finish flapjack over his shoulder, not looking to see they were no longer being caught by the two pups in plates. Instead Fiona kept jumping in the air to snatch pancakes in mid-air ... and those she missed, which was most of them, started to pile up around her brother.
"I think... we have too many... pancakes!" said the canine as he heard parents shuffling around.
"Nonsense, you can never have too many pan..." the bear said turning t look at his friends. "Um maybe that is enough ... Fiona you pour the syrup on the pile, while I roll up ham and cheese in some of them".
"Good thing its bath day, were going to needed" as she started to pour sticky syrup on the pile, before Loupy could leave it. "Especially Loupy".
