sorry had the rock orchastra cover of paint it black on repeat in my brain for a while
So since I had already printed off most of the way too small zaku head before I realised It needed to be resized I figured I should just finishe it up as a decoration. I painted it green for that basic zaku feel, went for a maroon on the wearable head added brass tape to highlight the zaku coolent cables. now you might notice a differance in the two peices, the smaller one is unmoddified with the mono eye set back further in the head, on the wearable version if I had set it in the slot made for it I still couldn't fit my head in so I pushed it forward a bit. then got two dollar store flashlights used the reflectors, and leds with red lenses I printed out wired up to switch inside the heads

I have not seen Requiem for vengeance. Is it new? Also it does make some sense that the whole red zaku invokes a memory of the first major villain from Mobile suit Gundam. In my memories he was the portrayal of the excellent bad guy who had his own reasons for being so rather than just generic evil.
Its not bad. Its a short series I think only 6 episodes, 3d animated using a game engine I think. the human models and animation are a bit iffy but the mech animations and fights were nice.
It takes place during the 1 year war, follows a group of zeon soldiers on earth, including a zaku squad named the red wolves. and what happens when the gundam is introduced. It makes the Gundam genuinly terrifying how its framed in some scenes. It wasn't spectacular but pretty damn interesting. In particular I love the scrap armor they develop for there zaku's at one point using tank treads as ablative shields
