Back in 2003 I was living in Sarnia, Ontario, dividing my time between driving a taxi and working on a TV show called 'Six in the City,' a funny local-affairs show that sadly got axed by network management. But that's not the important part.
What is is that, along with my duties as floor manager and occasional cameraman I created Lambton St. Clair, a sheep puppet who would do commentary on the week's events now and then. I didn't get to use him much (the axe, remember?) but while moving house I dug him out of storage and realised that he might be of interest to y'all.
He's big - the clothes he wears are men's size small - but light, so he's easy to manipulate. I've found that a big puppet is in some ways easier to work with, as my hand doesn't cramp up inside. And if you're interacting with people they react differently to a puppet who's almost as big as they are.
I'm hoping to get him cleaned up and ready for MFF, if I can make it this year. Storage (in a house containing a smoker - not, not me) has not been kind to him. This is a pic from 2004 - he isn't quite so white now...
