This is a thing that has always been around, but never got properly drawn before!

I'm really not good at keeping a constant size, and that sometimes make interactions with other creatures problematic! So instead of just doing the magical thing, i've taken a techy way out!

So the "official" explanation for the variable size is that little device strapped under my wing, which is actually just the remote control module for a size-shift-y device.

The idea for that one is that it doesn't actually resize me, it just adjusts how much of "me" exists at one time in a space, while the rest of me exists elsewhere in a way that doesn't interact with the same physical space. So being shrunk to 1/10th of my normal size doesn't mean that i'm shrunk, it just means that only 10% of me is physically connected to that location, downsized to regular density, where 90% is in a separate isolated space, and there's a mapping of physical sensations and such to make sure 100% of me still feels all of it. And nope, no further explanation to how it works.

This also has the added bonus of, the smaller i get, the less vulnerable i am, because a smaller percentage is actually there. So if i was ant-sized and got destroyed, about an ant-sized part of my body mass would be destroyed, spread out more or less evenly.

So yeap, that's my way of bullshitting my way out of things!

Also, the point of that device is also that friends wanting me at a different size can just grab it and adjust that. It gets around the whole "I forgot how big you are." thing as well!
