The Green Drake is a swamp-dwelling reptilian predator, native to the wetlands located north of the Great Southern Forest. It's the region's apex predator and is known for its savagery. Its scaly hide is covered top to bottom with small spines and plates, making it nearly impenetrable.

The Green Drake has a caustic breath, which produces toxic vapors when it comes into contact with water. It uses this weapon sparingly, mostly when fighting other drakes over territory or when facing a particularly thick-skinned prey animal. Excessive use of its breath weapon would leave the local environment devoid of prey, thus leaving the drake to starve... and this beast is smart enough to be aware of that.

While more feral and savage than its grey cousin, the Green Drake is not just a stupid animal. This reptile knows its environment and knows when it should use its breath weapon without threatening its own livelihood. The local people know well enough to both respect and to avoid it if possible.
