Erems are members of large herbivorous mammalian Fatikelij Species native to Rida and the Jel-Archipelago. They are among the largest land mammals, and due to their size and thick skin only have to fear few predators. They are hairless, resemble a mix between bear and otter, and can stand up to reach leaves up to 6m high. Their clawed feet are mostly used for harvesting leaves, but can also be used in self-defence. Their thick-muscular tails have them stand up by forming a tripod together with their hind legs, allowing them to comfortably browse high foliage for extended periods of time. Though mostly quadrupedal, they are partially adapted for bipedality and can occasionally be seen walking around on two legs for a short time.
This one is a Treestomper Erem, reaching over 6m from nose to tail, and measuring over 2.40m at the shoulder when on all fours. These are the biggest of all Erems on Ceal, and are native to the forests of the Jel-Archipelago.
