It goes without saying that our experiences help shape who we are as people and our outlook on both the world and life as a whole; with the general perception differing based on various factors. Rouge, for instance commonly thinks about the current experiences she has gained and what life would be like with and without them. If Rouge had continued on the path that her mother tried to force on her, Rouge would have undoubtedly had some form of success in academics and the work force; but her happiness would more than likely be the cost, with subsequent successes feeling hollow or deeply unfulfilling. The experience of both modeling and performance has undoubtedly opened doors for Rouge and has allowed her to regain both her freedom and happiness; with the friends and achievements she has received being further proof that it was the right choice for her. In addition, Rouge gained so much confidence in herself and appearance, thanks to her modeling companions and prior career; so much so that the once quiet, timid, and overly cautious side of her ceases to be. Rouge is far more confident, self-assured, and outgoing than she once was and is able to have fun and enjoy herself without thinking she is doing something wrong or going against the wishes of another. However, while Rouge is happy with how things are going, she didn’t see fit to truly abandon all of the skills and knowledge she had before taking the huge risk that got her to where she is now. Even now, Rouge makes use of the knowledge and skill she accumulated from the mandatory activities she was forced to do by her mother. For example: one of the reasons Rouge was able to quickly adapt to her circus performances was due to the ballet practice her mother forced her to take; with Rouge using the flexibility and graceful movements to assist her in the acrobatic performance she would eventually take on. Its interesting to think about how one spur of the moment decision and desire for change helped Rouge gain so much more than if she continued down a path choose for her. Rouge doesn’t have too many thoughts on what her future holds or where it will take it, but given her repertoire of skills and knowledge, not to mention her confidence, it’s safe to assume that there will be many options available to her! *TRIVIA: One of the ways Rouge chooses to greet close friends and relations, is with gentle pecks on the cheek. So long as the person is close to her, she will do this regardless of gender or age.
