This old pic was one of my earliest promotional images for i.s.o., so I went all out on color and formatted it to be screen-sized; it ultimately became the back cover of my first issue.

Then currently I concluded I wanted some headshots, so I can make a quick little cast page as a recap. People have hinted I don't use everyone's names a lot, so a little refresher for them all can't hurt. I was aware I wanted to redo that promo image, not just for nostalgia's sake, but also as an updated banner image. And since it's a fairly flat image, everyone would be on a similar scale, AND I could also edit it down for the headshots. Lastly I felt it merited expanding, not only to be widescreen, but also to add more characters.

I don't know if this has quite the color impact as last time, but I like having the slightly updated current ouftits/hairstyles, as well as the new sense of interaction. Cody no longer wants to jam the dart into somewhere sensitive because Jake's bothering him; instead, he and Nate are facing off against Todd/Jake in darts, and the latter are trying to psyche Cody out (Todd's threatening to do a wet willie with his tail).

And I blame  TKDye for having to spend so much time on the background. I hate backgrounds (especially IN COLOR) and I cheated my way out of those as much as I could in comics. For something like this, not only did I need to draw it out, I had to draw it ALL out...cuz there's a full colored background behind everyone, and inking and coloring around everyone would've been even harder. But uuuugh. I even looked up dart references (much of which you can't see), because I knew that's what Thomas would do ;-p
