Say hello to Sonlow, the arena’s newest loudmouth and self-proclaimed future legend.
Sonlow is a lion x cheetah cross gladiator who’s just getting his footing in the colosseum. He’ll be appearing in Era practicing with the other fighters as Synclair is turned out to join them currently a background appearance, but definitely the kind of character who could keep popping up (whether the veterans want him to or not).
He talks big. Constantly. He brags about upcoming matches, and hypes himself up like he’s already champion. Underneath all that bravado though? He’s scared. And he knows it. He's just afraid others do too... Around the more seasoned gladiators, he gets noticeably quieter, especially when someone like Sonlow is nearby. He desperately wants to prove himself, even if he hasn’t quite earned the right to be as cocky as he is.
Design-wise, my favorite thing about Sonlow has got to be that attempt at a mane that’s… trying its best. It’s patchy. It’s unimpressive. He insists it makes him look intimidating.
I’m opening Sonlow up for adoption via auction starting at $30 over on my Deviantart. The winner will receive the full-resolution reference sheet and his official cameo status in Era. As with all my cameo adopts, there’s potential for future appearances depending on where the story goes.
General Terms of Service for Sonlow’s Adopt
By adopting Sonlow, you agree to the following:
🔹 Sonlow will remain an official part of the Era comic universe. I retain the right to use him as needed within the story, including background appearances, story-related cameos, or connections to future characters. I’ll always communicate if anything major comes up!
🔹 You’re welcome to alter his design for your own use (add accessories, tweak markings, adjust aesthetics, etc.). Unless we specifically discuss and agree on design updates for the comic, the original reference version will be the one used in Era.
🔹 To maintain world consistency, Sonlow will keep his role as a gladiator and his core personality within the comic. Outside of Era, you’re completely free to treat the comic version as an AU and take him wherever you’d like.
🔹 Since he appears in the comic, Sonlow is considered canon to the world of Era, which means you’re now the proud owner of a real piece of the story
Additional Usage Policy
Because Era cameo characters are official canon within the comic universe, I reserve the right to revoke ownership if the character is used in ways that involve plagiarism, AI-generated content derived from other artists’ work without permission, or other unethical practices.
This includes (but is not limited to):
🔹 Using AI tools trained on copyrighted or uncredited character designs to create derivative adoptables
🔹 Directly copying or heavily referencing other creators’ original characters without permission
🔹 Reselling the character in association with unethical or exploitative practices
If ownership is revoked due to these violations, the character will return to me as the creator and no refund will be issued.
