Ash Tapper has had a really hard life and just can't seem to get sober. He tries to play it off like it's no big deal. His friends are worried he'd do something worse to cope with the withdrawal symptoms and because their world normalizes drunkenness, they're not sure the best course of action to get him off the sauce for good. Only saving grace is his life's gotten better over the last fifteen years, so he no longer drinks nightly. He pulls off the mall goth look well, at least.
