"Kyousei, are you ready to show me what you learned."

They stood across from each other, waiting. A goo tendril between their foot connects them.

Since their bond, they have trained together as one. Sparring against their sons, allies, and adversaries. But they never sparred against each other.

"I...I...thi-...I am, Sensei."

They have fought, when they first met during that chaotic night. Wrestling with the other for control of the mutant body. Needing to be subdued before they hurt their loved ones and themselves.

"Do not waver. Do not hesitate." Splinter advised as a goo tendril conjured from his hand forms into a katana. "Strike me with intent and conviction."

The longer they stayed together, the more they learned about the other. The more they learned, the guiltier they became of their actions towards the other. Guilt turned to understanding. Understanding became their bond. To continue their growth, and face Knull's latest general, Shredder, they must confront themselves.

"I w-will not." Kyousei mimicked Splinter's weapon before coming into a fighting stance, eye whites narrowed. The texture of the symbiote form rippled. "I am ready to be challenged, Sensei!"

"Good." The mutant rat got into his fighting stance as a smile crept on his face. They were as much partners as they were master and student. Kyousei acted upon every weapon and tactic the martial arts master can imagine. Now to see how much Kyousei actually learned. "Come at me!!!"
