Changshen has many titles. The Shadow Dragon, The Dragon of Sinful Souls, The Dragon of Discord.

Changshen is seen by humans as an evil entity, but he's not necessarily good or evil - if anything, it's his job to be an ass. He appears to humans that heaven has an eye on and offers them their deepest desires. Money, fame, power - anything. But his deals always come with high prices and they're all tests. The only correct move is to reject his advances.

Very few humans have resisted temptation, giving Changshen a bit of a poor opinion of them. He view most humans as just apes that can talk. But a few humans that rise above such desires earn his respect.

But after 1000s of years of watching humans fall for them, he's a bit jaded.

In his human guise, his attitude can come across as pretty bratty - think a perpetual rage baiter. Among dragons of his station, he's actually quite young. He's the immortal equivalent of a college freshman...
