Little bit of backstory of how this art came to being made: So I started playing in a D&D campaign recently, I've made it my goal to play each class before replaying classes, and Monk was next on my list.
As I got more info about the campaign, a thought went through my head: "What if I could sneak one of my Sonas into D&D..." A slippery slope, I know, but I wanted to at least try.
Looking at the different nations of the campaign I was told the more Anthropomorphic D&D races where in the heavily Japanese inspired region, including the Hundin (Dog Folk) and I knew Bridgette would do perfectly. Even gave her a Japanese inspired name: Onna-Musha Ren (introduces herself as Bridgette cause her actual name is a secret). I ended up making her take the Kensei subclass at level 3 which focuses on weapons, hence making her effectively a Samurai (currently working with the DM to Homebrew Katanas and other Samurai related weapons for her to obtain as the campaign goes on).
After I did that I wanted to get art of her playing her trusty Shamisen so the rest of the group could visualize how she looked and eventually found
Slaynoir who did an amazingly good job in helping my vision for her come to life.
