I was engaged for over a year once, had the whole wedding planned. Then he backed out and a few other things happened. I have still the wedding plans and the magazines. I've made myself a scrap book of what I want for my dress and even did a few sketches. Now Im' in a relationship where he says he'll ask me after a year but its not looking that way...

You need advice? OK. Well I don't know you so well or the situation so much so like please don't go like "wtf is wrong with that Ryled kid?" Well, OK--actually go ahead and do that; it's cool.

But anyway, you do look really good. You gotta nice smile, nice face, and you seem pretty keen, sister. (That's the compliments phase btw)

As far as advice goes, it sounds like you're frustrated by indecisiveness or like you feel like this promised future is just really vague and slipping away or whatever. You gotta figure out yourself what you want and like what would be the best for you, and then like be honest about it and live for it. That means like finding a lot of your own convictions beyond just relationships, and if the guy's like not all wishy-washy, he can choose you and like work towards that future, too.

Again I dunno 'cuz I dunno this situation, and I know it's like not the most sagely advice to just go "hey figure out what you want out of life" like some character from The Graduate or something, but like...gaining confidence and like living so that you feel good about yourself and what you're doing will take all the struggling and worrying off your shoulders and you'll be like "phew!" Like in Waiting to Exhale? I dunno 'cuz I never saw that movie. I'm lame like that.
