I don't know if I'll go far on this one, especially with my DSL being flaky and dropping my connection once every few days. My other writing project hasn't gotten all that far either. But I blame TwistedSpectrum for sparking that writing itch again.

But at least I have this to show that some things still give me writing ideas.

Synopsis

It all started with my big sister wanting to throw me an early birthday party on the night of April 30th, 2020, because she can't come to the construction site on May 1st and celebrate it proper. It turned into a watch party of the first season of My Little Pony that lasted until 2 AM.

I didn't get much sleep that night. I was so wiped that I was given leave for a nap in the Foreman's trailer. That's when I had the most freaky dream about some chimeric Chinese dragon thing with an unhinged laugh, clouds of smoke that smelled wrong, a castle that looked like it was melting and twisting... And when I woke up, my heart was pounding and I was in a cold sweat.

Now I could explain away the dream, rationalize it as something I ate messing with my head. But finding two matching symmetrical tattoos on my outer thighs shortly after I woke up? That was not on my Bingo card for turning 25 years old. What I didn't realize is that pretty soon this would be the least of my problems...
