Mike El and Kali make an agreement to escape from the clutches of the government. With Kali using the last of her strength to create the illusion of Mike Wheeler transforming partially and hugging Eleven as the pair fade to their death. Mikes Been through enough trauma on loosing El he should’ve done this from the very beginning.

This may have send a very difficult choice for Mike to sacrifice his friends and family just be with the love of his life, but this is what his heart truly desires (in my opinion) besides he old enough to head out on his own


Lore Note for Demo mike AU: Mike also had to fake his own death due to his Demogorgon powers and the risk of the government creating more morphed demos like him and using Elevens blood to create vaccines for them. so instead of Mike watching El Fade in the clouds before his eyes he transforms into his Demogorgon form and pounce hugs to her, all part of the illusion for his friends to believe that he died with her including the solders that were holding on to him.
