I've always found this neighborhood strange. Each house is divided into 2 apartments, a very weird setup for the area. Also has this church looking building in the middle. During WW2 they built tanks at the local Chrysler plant not far from here, so my theory is these apartments were built for the workers of that time. That was very common and a friend of mine showed me similar apartments(albeit in larger buildings) in the town where he lives. After the war I'd guess they were sold off and now have individual landlords, hence why they've now all been altered in different ways.
