1+1/2cup flour for dry dredge
2tbsp corn starch
3 eggs (whisked) for wet dredge
2cups mixed breadcrumbs for crispy coating
1tbsp chilli powder
2tsp black pepper
2tsp paprika
1tsp salt
Recipe:
1-preheat air fryer to 400 for 10 minutes
2-prep chicken into tender sizes and prep your flour dredge with corn starch and spices
3-flour, egg and crumb your tenders
4-air fry for 20 minutes (make sure your chicken doesnβt dry out!)
5-plate with your favourite side+dip and enjoy!
From Chris: With the right kind of 'drench' (sauce) or spice rub, you can make these Buffalo Wing, Nashville Hot Chicken, hot honey sauce, Korean / Japanese Kaarage, etc!
~ I have also seen an air fryer recipe where you can make air fryer chicken and waffles skewers (just use *wooden* skewers, NOT the metal ones as they would not work well!)
~ When using an air fryer remember the "ABC"s - (A)lways use an (A)ir Fryer liner for easy cleanup; (B)atch your cooking, don't crowd or overfill your fryer bucket; (C)ooking times will vary between different brands of air fryers, so follow the directions closely! Trial and error will be your guide!
~ You can always 'pause' the cooking to flip or turn over / spritz your food with a touch of oil to keep your cooking even. Marinating/injecting the chicken ahead of time will also keep your meat moist, just remember to dry your chicken off as liquids and air fryers don't mix.
