I created this chart to help understand the shape and placement of Creature's back stripes, at any position of the body. It's not as complicated as it looks. There is a method to my madness!
If you need an example of how this looks on the body, use the legs and back reference.
(R) Indicates the red stripe running from the top of the head between the ears, all the way to the end of the tail.
(T) This is where the tail begins.
- Stripe Positions -
(1) Grey stripes on the head begin at the base of the skull and run 3/4 of the way up the ears.
(2) These stripes are located on the neck.
(3) These stripes are located over the spine, between the shoulders.
(4) These stripes run over the shoulder blades.
(5) These stripes cross the ribcage, and stop under the arms. Illustrated with a dotted line. Only set of 3.
(6) These stripes run from the spine, under the ribcage.
(7) These strips sit on the pelvis, immediately above the tail.
- Stripe Shapes -
(A) Stripes in this group share a shallow angle and long length.
(B) Stripes in this group share a medium angle and medium length.
(C) Stripes in this group share a steep angle and short length.
