I'm sorry for any delays, I had to put down my elderly cat. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't peaceful and I'm not handling it well.

He was 17 years old and had cancer on most of his organs. But he had PTSD so it wasn't ever easy to get him to a vet office and I also needed to respect what his wishes would be.
He'd already lived 12 years longer than he should have when his kidneys failed.

He definitely won't be going to kitty heaven, he hated everyone and everything. But he loved his mama unconditionally. I feel so guilty I had to betray his trust the last few days of his life to try to help him and it didn't help at all. Navigating daily life without him here is difficult, he's been with me for about half my life. I always started and ended my day with him and he was rarely ever more than an arm's length away.
