Given Zeke's nationality this could conceivably be another example of a conveniently similar-looking ancestor... but in this case I rather think it's the man himself. And it's not because he's been around like Victor.
Zeke just seems to bear this persistent, low-level grudge against modern civilization, only instead of writing a manifesto or joining a political movement he merely tries to put as much physical and personal distance between himself and it as possible. And it makes sense given his history. He's a "tech bro." He made his fortune developing software. He's had to sit through lunches with venture capitalists while they went over his strategies for maximizing user engagement ahead of going public. He's had more than enough of that for a lifetime or seven.
Remember, what you do for a living—even if you're very good at it—is not necessarily the summation of who you are.
