- Ribbon Dragons in Gallecross evolved from tunneling wyrms that lived along the walls of chasms or in tall mountain ridges. They flatten themselves like flying snakes to glide between their high altitude lairs.
- Nowadays that they are fully sentient and magical beings, they fly by using wind-magic to lift them while they glide.
- Those that live in tunnels still grow seasonal antlers to prove mating eligibility (they spend mating season outside of the tunnels, the antlers shed or are knocked off upon return to their tunnel systems).
- Those that live in mountains have the long neck fluff like Crimson here, and usually more for a winter coat (Crimson here has a relatively fur-less torso because he lives in a more temperate area).
- The long whiskers are used for hunting in the tunnels with very low or nonexistent light levels.
