This amazing piece of art was commissioned for me by Fox_Winter. It was drawn by Sweet Cream, who as far as I know does not have a gallery here on FA, but that link will take you to her Bluesky feed. I am so incredibly grateful. They look amazing. Much, much better than I could have ever imagined myself.

But who are these strange looking felines? I'm glad you asked!

Vincent and Vincetta (collectively known as "The Twins" or "The Vinces") are a muse, a being made of Medium, the stuff of Creation and Creativity. The specific kind of muse they are is called a Honshí, a being of duality but also strength and resilience. In the canvas (what we would call the "real world") they are often depicted as stone lions, guarding the entrances of important buildings. They are closely linked, yet each their own, fully realized person. Two halves that make a whole so durable they can triumph over time itself.

Vincent and Vicentta originally were a single being, a human from 1985 Chicago. Vincent C. Mason was a very indecisive person, letting other people make decisions for him whenever possible. But one night he as confronted with a decision he could not avoid. Take the hand of someone who looked strangely like himself, an offer to shed the disguise he had been wearing his entire life and become something greater... or decline and fade into something less than unremarkable.

He decided to take the hand and found himself in Gallerie, suddenly neither human anymore nor a single person. He was both Vincent and Vincetta, one mind and soul divided into two beings that complimented each other perfectly, also shown by their halved masks. They also found new friends and for the first time they feel like they are in a place where they belong.

I have been playing these two for a couple of month now, and it is great fun. A challenge, to be certain, and their exploration of Gallerie have no always been fun. In fact, there has been a good deal of hardship and even trauma. In fact, I have written a little vignette about such an event you can find it here, if you are interested.

But there have been beautiful things as well. Amazing sights they never would have dreamed they would ever see. And there is the strength and resilience they have found in each other. Again, I have written a small story about that, a small revel in the freedom they now have. Again, you can see it here, if you like.

I have mentioned Gallerie before. It is a new role playing game, currently in development by Messi, the creator of Hc Svnt Dracones. I'm helping playtest it and it is shaping up real well. You play one of the aforementioned Muses and it has themes of self-discovery and growth. I'm not very good at explaining it... but trust me, it is fun!
