If ya use more shades (more darks and more lights) to up the contrast more, it'll make everything really pop.

One shade and one highlight is really basic. It reminds me of the Chris Hart How to draw Manga books from grade school.

You have potential here! Just pop out of yer comfort zone and ya can see how far ya can go. :3
