After getting in costumes, they came back to the property where the protest wasn't. Still there was the fence in the way. Lightshow took a few steps back then ran at the fence; she clicked her heels together and some model rocket engines ignited by her ankles. The propulsion helped her to jump higher and clear the fence; she even flipped in the air and stuck the landing afterwards.
“Hah.” Lightshow said proudly, “Too easy.”
“Great.” Isaac said, from the other side of the gate. “Now how do I get inside?”
“Oh uh…” Lightshow looked around, then turned on an outdoor water spicket. The water ran across the cement and under the gate, but it wasn’t a lot. “I’ll see if I can find more.”
“No no, I can work with this.” Isaac said. He touched the water, and it froze. As more water came out, he kept making more ice and layering it on top of itself. He was making a platform but it was taking a while. “Go on ahead, I’ll catch up.”
Lightshow didn’t argue, she just nodded and ran around the sides of the building. She spotted the bus by the front doors, but there was no driver. She ran closer and found the driver, lying on the ground by the bus. She checked on the bus driver, he was hit real hard but he was still alive. She looked to the closest doors on the buildings and they were still ajar. Lightshow set the man by the bus and then ran for the door.
Opening it slowly, Lightshow looked around. Inside looked like a normal business day. People inside were carrying junky pieces of old parts, so other people could take them apart. She didn’t want to disturb them, so she kept more on the sidelines and weaved between the bigger machines. Looking around, she didn’t see the people from before, and it was harder to tell people apart as they all had uniforms. That’s when she realized it was how these people snuck in, by blending in. Lightshow had to look for something more specific, and needed a better view of the place. She scrambled for a support beam, and scrambled up it to the overhang for this large area. She could see everything from up there, but that’s not where those intruders she spotted were. Her target suspect was a pair of ‘workers’ carrying some kind of case or pack over to the worksite office, which stood on supports connected to the overhang.
Lightshow creeped along the overhang, trying to see what was going on inside. She climbed up onto a ceiling rafter, jumped to another one, which she then swung over to a third one and climbed up. She perked herself on that one, and looked through the glass into the office. Bingo, one rabbit was crouched by the office desk, a ram in a suit sat in a chair with his hands up, while the lioness kept a gun pointed at the ram. Office manager, held hostage while the other two installed something.
