In the far future, Zor was a lonely boy who enjoyed exploring deep, abandoned areas of his futuristic city. One day, while exploring deeper than usual, he fell and blacked out, waking up to the remains of an old mall.
Trying to find his way out, he makes his way up the dead escalators, and with a flash of light, the entire world around him changes. It was as if life returned in an instant, bustling with customers and chatter. As Zor looked around, he caught the confused gaze of the mallgoers; their fashion was dated. Really dated. It was as if he was thrust back into the 90's, and as he attempted to go back the way he came, nothing happened.
It was clear to him now that somehow he was stuck in this time, unable to go back. A boy from the future sticking out like a sore thumb in the past. He didn't get much time to panic before a friendly voice called out to him.
"Hey dude, sick style! I wish i could color my hair like that! Hey, you must be new here! I don't think I've seen anyone like you before and trust me, I keep track of a LOT of people here!"
As Zor turned to face the direction the sound was coming from, he was face-to-face with a girl. As he struggled to speak, she offered a grin and leaned in close, closing the distance between them as she put her hands on her hips.
"Oh yeah, I'm Riley by the way! Sorry, I kinda forgot the whole "Stranger Danger" thing, but pffft! You seem cool! What's your name?"
"Uhhh Zor. Hey..." Zor replied, slowly, a bit offput by Riley's eagerness.
"Huh... Weird name. But cool! Well, Zor, come on! If you're new here, I wanna show you one of the coolest spots to chill out! I go here ALL the time!" Riley said as she turned, grabbing Zor's wrist and running deeper into the mall.
And just like that, Zor was at the mercy of his new companion, following her into a new place and time, unaware of the new friends he'd make and a certain mall owner he'd catch the attention of...
