Conker is a red squirrel who is one of Diddy Kong's friends and one of the core members of the New Rareware Gang. He is the funniest member of the group, always playing harmless pranks on his friends, but Bumper the Badger hates Conker's pranks. He was recruited by Diddy Kong when Timber sent a signal for help to save his Island from Wizpig. When Timber hosted another racing adventure, Conker couldn't make it due to storing nuts up for winter, which is why Dixie Kong took his place, but now, the group's all together again, Conker included.

Banjo is a brown honey bear who is one of Diddy Kong's friends, one of the core members of the New Rareware Gang, Tooty's older brother, and Kazooie's adoptive brother. He is the calmest member of the group, you'll often find him playing a soft tune on his banjo under a tree. Like Conker, Banjo was also recruited by Diddy Kong when Timber sent a signal for help. Tiny Kong took Banjo's place in the second racing adventure when he couldn't come due to collecting Jiggies and finding Jinjos, but now, he's back with the gang and ready for anything.
