Being Enlisted into the SHC(Squirrel High Command) was a huge step for anyone, followed by some unusual practices. In fact part of training, the Sergeant would line up the troops. He would have some sort of device in hand, place to the squirrels head and... it was bizarre they'd act weird. The Sergeant claimed it would aid us on and off the field with whatever he was doing. One by one, with spirals in their eyes they'd be in a trance, completely lost in their own mind... though it was empty for sure.
Filled with only obedience. He'd order the troops under the device's influence to take off their combat boots. They'd obey and set them aside. This was as strange as the rest, only the boots, barefoot, free footed. Paws touching the cement.
Some would feel the effects differently, some sat down, some flopped on their bellies and some stood straight at attention. Toes pointed straight, saluting and awaiting further orders. The Sergeant spent a few minutes for each squirrel, he savored it from the smile and constant chuckling.
The Sergeant was a few steps from me. Part of myself debated to run or pretend to feel ill. I wasn't sure I wanted to be smiling silly with glazed eyes, and bare paws. This was highly unorthodox.
Watching as the squirrel removed his left boot. I swallowed my saliva and nervously contemplated my decision. The Sergeant eyed me with a smile, device in hand. I knew what was coming...
This idea I have had for two weeks and finally got to making it. What's funny to me is how it came out exactly as I planned. Well not down to the exact detail, but close enough. The Sergeant had to be altered in position from the original position, but it works all the same. Very beautiful.
A strange thing about the Sergeant hit me after making this. In the original, he doesn't have a mustache. In Live and Reloaded, he does. That's a detail that slipped my mind. I thought he always had it. I kind of like him with the mustache, differentiates him from the others. I will keep that in mind in future.
Hypnovember 2025 Day 17: Reverie Regiment
Oh and this one I decided to try Super Ultra Mega Wide! Only cause the picture lined up so well. I went for it. I haven't done a render with these dimensions and it fit. I've always liked the stretched panoramic view.
