I decided one day "Hey! I could write a radio jingle!" And being the production director at Hot 106.7 (then the top ranked station in town) I convinced an ad exec who came to me for ideas that this would be the perfect solution to the client's needs. When one is pulled over for more than just a speeding ticket, I reasoned, one needs to know right away who to call: Traffic Center of the Ozarks. How would they know the number? Because through repeated airing, this jingle would put it right up there with Naughty Number Nine and Conjunction Junction in that part of the brain that stores ridiculously catchy songs. Not sure if it ever really worked - the station was sold shortly after, and the new owners didn't see the need for a production director and professional copywriter. But I've always been proud of this one. :)
