Some of you may have seen this grumpy fellow before.
Travertine 's characters have been one of the, if not the, main inspirations for my delving back into drawing.
It started with paper--some impromptu sketches that I took a picture of and sent to her. One of them was particularly attention grabbing, so I had decided to try jumping back into the digital side. Tiko here is the first major drawing project I've done in... some large amount of years...
This took a long time. I wasn't keeping track, but tens of hours to be sure--probably around 30-40? It was a matter of dealing with a new program, getting used again to digital art, and a lot of back and forth with Travertine to make sure I was getting a resulting Tiko as close to her image of him as possible. In some cases, that involved discovering as we went. It was a slow process, and I am very thankful for her patience. It was certainly a bigger bite than I ought to have taken, but a proud success it is now. It was certainly a much larger canvas than necessary. I've been, and will be, playing around with so many settings to find my comfort zone.
I'm still very prone to distractions at all times. But I'm happy to present this as a fairly recent new beginning for myself.
Thank you, Travertine, for providing such rich characters that I couldn't help but latch onto as my muses.
To those of you who are already familiar with the Bolycule, here's a little spoiler:
Cameron is next. It might be popping up soon here and/or on Travertine's page.
I will also put a content warning here, just in case. The stories that Tiko is in generally contain Adult themes.

I'm still so thrilled you decided to design him for me! We did plenty of tweaking, sure, but even from one of the initial sketches, I was like "yes, that's him!"
You thank me for my patience, but I have to thank you for the same. These characters are important to me, and that can make me a bit precious with them... but you did a great job! And I'm so thrilled my work could inspire you in this way!
