Some lore on Marasa, leader of the Omarasa faction, I put this one off for a while, I'm a bit insecure about my lore stuff admittedly, especially I try to talk about the serious stuff like fictional drugs and totalitarian factions.



MARASA:  Marasa is the current Emperor of the Basflima slaver faction, the Omarasa, this faction is named after whoever the emperor is at the time, Marasa has ruled for a very long time, originally a general, taking over after the old Emperor, Shamira, was dismembered by an angry mob of revolutionaries, during the Asternereid revolution.


Marasa is known for being especially crueler than his predecessor, at least by outsider factions, as he erased any mention of the previous Emperor Shamira, from any records, out of spite, the two of course did not agree on many things, though Marasa kept quiet about this, gaining the Emperor's favor so he may be his successor after his death, and unfortunately that is what happened.


Anyone within the faction who remembered Shamira, like footsoldiers, died soon anyway, and did not speak to others besides designated roommates, and higher ranking individuals with more freedom were killed immediately if they tried to speak about Shamira.


Marasa wishes to present himself as an immortal and godly figure, and the right hand of Synthia, he puts forward the false idea that he is an ancient Basflima, that he was one of the first, that he and he alone is chosen to rule, despite this, he invests much of his personal time, and funds heavily in Dysabenic magic and acts, and technology combined with such, much of the tech this faction now uses has a fleshy, red core, blood, organs, the components for this biotech often harvested from undesirable members of the faction, as such people tend to disappear often, he also uses other people his faction has captured for this.


Along with the Biotech, he uses Dysabenic rituals to preserve his health, youth, and power, this of course also involves unwilling sacrifices, his blood has turned from the normal Basflima teal, to red from Dysabenes influence, the only thing keeping him from transforming into a beast after so much corruption from this dark god is a single sigil of Synthia, tattooed around his eye.
