[Dragons Will Have Fur Too] [ETD] - Observations.
"Dragons Will Have Fur Too" is my podcast on Spotify where I like to talk about my perspective on life and share information that others might not know. And where would be a better place to talk than with my fellow furs?
[Observations]
So I'm torn on how to feel about the community right now, it looks like to me the only things a lot of people post is advertisements of themselves.
And I understand we all have to make money, but is a commission reminder every 5 hours really necessary? And I've never seen so many adopt reminders...
It's only my opinion of course, but I feel if someone was looking to adopt a character they'd specifically look for them. It frustrates me because all I want to do is look at and compliment people's art, but there are so many reminders that they get obscured.
My second thing is prices. I've seen a lot of people who have reasonable prices. The most I'd pay for a *commission* is probably $300, and that would be a really nice commission. (I've never paid for art though, I usually just make it myself, as most of us do). But I think we need to address something I think is a little outrageous... Adoptions. Who in their right mind wants to pay over $200 for a character that's not theirs?
And maybe I'm not the target audience since I think giving away your characters is wrong and I'll only ever be identifiable by my Fursona, but there should be a line...
It's really a side note, but the community appears to be on a "large character" theme lately. And sometimes the art I see is actually hilarious because of how exaggerated the scale is... furs never really do change I guess.
I have been a fur for a while now, definitely not as long as some people, but it's always nice to see that our connection with each other still exists...
