And so it ends with one last bit of fun. This is a fluff story and we're not meant to think about the ending. But I imagine Nicole used her brainwashing to get everyone to go along with her new utopia... And had a surprise rival in Sage. Robotnik's final child, having learn from EVE, ADAM, M', and King Gong, a back-up program to take the reins if he ever fell. And now Nicole and Sage have opposing ideals of how to build utopia.
Archie didn't get as crazy as Fleetaway but it still got "creative" when introducing the canon characters.
Like I said, I know the story ending is not meant to be thought about too deeply. It's just one final "gotcha!" and some and final Baby fur fun and games. Our bottleneck, and his inner circle we can assume is no longer a threat. And Nicole now has the means to quietly neutralize any other villains. That still leaves the heroes' friends and families and the average mobian citizen. What's again the idea of Nicole using her brainwashing in mass to enforce her toddler Utopia.
But a one player game is rarely fun to watch, especially when they have the cheat mode on.
Cue Sage coming online, realizing she is the last Robotnik, and decides to fight fire with fire, cue her micromanaged roboticized toddler kingdom.
This forces Nicole to realizes she still needs imagination, inspiration and innovation, to her, giving some of her babies intelligence back while keeping them in the toddler mindset. Is it coming down to who will be the "mother " of this Mobius?
I admit, this is ridiculously greedy, for what was a simple and straightforward story, and with an ending that wraps up the immediate questions.
This is just my mind going "and then? "
Thank you for entertaining my thoughts.

But then she wouldn't be able to appreciate her punishment.
It's the whole reason why Lily lovebraid was a total disappointment for the Prototype in Poppy's Playtime. She was brainwashed so completely that Gracie no longer existed, and so had no clue why the other toys hated her let alone what she was being punished for.
