I wanted to try my hand at a somewhat jank abugida (it might be bordering on impure abjad with the prominent consonants and the very degraded vowel markings) for Lārap’ilū, the language of the Q’iʀip’ilūʔa, or Purulians as I had called them for a while.
The language has base consonants that represent a consonant + /a/, and diacritics change the vowel. As noted, they can also be their own letters if need be. One will notice the issue with writing words that begin with a though. Turns out underspelling is very helpful too.
If you're wondering what's with the capital OE in the IPA, that's meant to be an esophageal version of a sound, specifically the burped variation. I found out that regular esophageal speech mainly just sounds like congestion. Note that these OE specifically denote the burped versions, as Q’iʀip’ilūʔa are... strange, to put it lightly.
