One way to recognize a tourist in DC is to look around for someone ogling at and taking photos of a squirrel. Well, I couldn't resist myself when I heard a strange sound coming from the branches of what turned out to be a black walnut tree and found this squirrel making all the racket, perhaps biting off more than he could chew.

And yeah, I altered this photo in GIMP to change the brightness/lighting. I prefer this slightly surreal look to the grey-skied original.
