This is Rye. She cooks for her mistress who she is extremely loyal to. Her soul is not owned because the mistress thinks having Rye stay by her side of her own volition is true power and Rye will not sell her soul to anyone who isn't the mistress.

Her love for her mistress is intense, but platonic.
