That day I was walking through the autumn forest as sunset was approaching, and a thundercloud had just passed, so everything in the woods was covered in large raindrops. In the light of the setting sun, the yellowing birches seemed to burn with golden fire against the darkening horizon. I tried to capture that vibe in this piece..
