silkspider ling is a mini-boss in the ancient world of chapter 4. It can first be encountered in brush woods han. Its stats are 1589 HP, 14 attack, and 0 defence. Its attacks are usually derived from those of dream spiders and a variant of dream spiders themselves. In the neutral/pacifist route, it first appears on the bridges of brush woods han, alon' with its smaller variants, silkspider Jrs. they will attack the party. this is 'cause the silkspider ling has been searchin' for an opponent or a worthy battle. they also often attack for food. after a battle, the silkspider ling and its offspring will retreat, depending on the level of violence or forgiveness shown. they will say that hambo 'nd the party are quite stron' and brave, so they will look for a way to find food elsewhere. In the temple ruins, silkspiders and silkspider Jrs. will help the party by interferin' in battles against enemies. by helping the party defeat the titan guard, the silkspider ling 'nd the silkspider Jr. will be recruited, meetin' their other variants and creating a large web nest in funky town, atop one of the domes of funky town castle. on the burning route, the silkspider ling won't notice anything unusual, despite having lost most of its offsprin'. however, when kindton uses a powerful fire attack on that route, this mini-boss will be killed and burned simultaneously, turning to dust. apparently, both the silkspider Jrs 'nd the silkspider ling are the dreamification/imitation of several arachnid fossils exhibited in the froggitland museum. the silkspider ling is a larger, stronger version of the silkspider Jrs. It possesses the same characteristics as the silkspider Jrs, such as its oval shape and black, gray, and yellow colours. Its only differences are that it has three eyes with red folds, spheres around its legs, and four mandibles, one large and one small.
