Me, Father, Multi, Cross, Fog, Bog, and Luna walked North towards the LB’s den.
It was still rather cold, and it became hard to see when the fog started rolling in. We then heard a voice. “Stop right there, or I will tear you all apart!” I knew who the voice was. It was the voice of Zero!
“EVOM NAC I DNA INMOILTUM YLNO!” I heard him chant. It didn’t seem to affect me. Maybe he used it on someone else? Unfortunately, I couldn’t see anyone else thanks to the fog.
Zero then stepped into my vision. “I have a few questions for you, Multomni.” He said. “My first question. Do you truly trust Omni?” The asked. “I trust him with my life.” I answered.
“Second question. Did you have a dream about Phoenix?” He asked. “Yes, but it was more like a nightmare than a dream.” I answered.
“Third question. Which pack are you loyal to?” He asked. This was actually a pretty hard one. “Not the Ashembers, that’s for sure.” I answered, wanting to move on to the next question.
“Fourth question. How many Preybringers do you know?” He asked. Is this an interview or something? I don’t see how he could even use that information. “Well, maybe you view Chapter 34, that has the a-“ “This isn’t a book, silly!” He interrupted. “Fine. There are nine, including me.
“And my final question. Why do I smell and hear two of the Darkscar Betas, Fog and Bog?” He asked. “Sorry, but I can’t really answer that for you.” I said.
“ANSWER.” Zero said impatiently. “No.” I refused. “Fine. I thought you would be of use. I guess not. What a shame...” He said. “...That I’ll have to end you, here and now!” He said, getting ready for battle.
We were then locked in a one-on-one duel. I guess I could play rough- playing with Rose helped my fighting skills, because I seemed to know when to attack and when to dodge. The fight was far from trivial, though. I was not in the best shape when I finally scratched one of Zero’s paws hard enough to make him retreat.
Battle is definitely not my thing.
I shook off the pain and continued North. I faintly heard Zero chanting, but it was unintelligible. Father, Cross, Multi, Fog, and Bog caught up with me. We eventually came to the LB den and I was brought to Solar, who healed me.
