The Altentotonik are a species of amphibian with the ability to heat up their surroundings like a natural radiator and can even make heat mirages giving them a reputation for being Tricksters. They tend to live in cold places using their ability to create hot springs in order to draw unsuspecting creatures close who want to get warm close before ambushing them and dragging them into the boiling water. Fortunately for dragons they are much too small to be considered a threat or to try attacking a dragon but can be tamed by dragons giving them food. They have not been domesticated like Kobolds but some dragons like their company anyway and keep them as companions.
