For one reason or another, he looks to me like a boss from Megaman X games....eeeh, whatever XD
Buuuut as you can see, he's less blocky, green color has been completely tossed out of the palette and replaced with grayish-purple for the specific parts of the armor. Also, redesigned the Toad Empire logo to make it look....less goofy and cartoonish. And added Getter Robo-inspired blades on his arms/gauntlets :P

For Toadborg?
Oh you have no IDEA how awesome I found Toadborg as a kid, I'd buy the toy now for my shelves, but he just doesn't look right compared to the show version!
There are many things I like about this redesign, the Toad Empite emblem is indeed a massive improvement for one, the size and stance reflects everything he needs!
The loss of green in his palette however, I'm' conflicted =O
Maybe it's nostalgia making me think of it, the grey does work for the robot-ness here, but I like green =O
I could honestly give you several paragraphs of this, I'll hold my tongue for now until I can see you myself, lol

Well in my story, Toads are far more competent and dangerous as an organization. Far more ruthless, and single-minded in their servitude to Komplex (considering how his brainwashing works in this version; implant of the control microchip that gives off an illusion of free will, while instilling the desire to serve Komplex, making the Toads think they're serving him by their own choice). And Toadborg here is far more sinister, calculating and calm when approaching any situation. If you ever saw Transformers Prime, think of Shockwave.
Heh, I saw Battlestar Galactica again and was just thinking what about Toadborg with a Cylon eye. Just the red scanning visor.
Its probably closer to what would actually be if it wasn't a kids show. Also how much more expendable the toads would come off with Komplex in control.
